Senator Reed helped serve lunch to local homeless veterans as part of the 24th Annual Operation Stand Down RI (OSDRI) at Diamond Hill State Park in Cumberland.  Each year, OSDRI sets up a military-style encampment during the three-day event and helps veterans connect with needed services from federal, state, and community agencies on site.  Since 2013, Senator Reed has helped secure over $1.3 million in federal appropriations for OSDRI to provide at-risk and homeless veterans with housing, job training, and supportive services.
