Reed Visits Local Small Business & Learns About Groundbreaking Work in Renewable Energy

Senator Reed paid a visit to Aquanis, Inc., a small business in East Greenwich that works to reduce the cost of wind energy by improving the aerodynamic performance of wind turbines.  This fall, Aquanis won a $3,515,113 federal grant, awarded by the U.S. Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E), to help accelerate research into smart blade technology that could power our clean energy future and help grow jobs and opportunities in Rhode Island
